F550 Delivery Driver
Shift: 8+ hours a day. Must be available to start work prior to store opening and work past store closing. Trucks do not typically operate on Saturday and store is closed on Sunday.
MUST PASS PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG TEST!
REQUIREMENTS:
• Valid and current driver’s license (Class A or B not required)
• Clean MVR for the past 3 years
• DOT Medical Card or Harris Ace Hardware will help you to obtain a card
• Must complete onboarding driver safety and forklift training
POSITION SUMMARY:
• Work in lumber yard when not out on delivery
• Daily inspection of truck for safety violations
• Accurately pull and stage building materials according to loading ticket – double-check for accuracy
• Load delivery truck ensuring load is safe and secure before leaving
• Represent Harris ACE Hardware when delivering material (friendly, helpful, professional, and respectful)
• Must be able to perform demanding, physical labor working with and lifting different types of building materials, including sheetrock
• Ability to work outdoors in hot and cold weather and occasionally in rain and snow and operate on uneven surfaces
• Operates vehicle in accordance with all OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements, as well as all local; state; and federals laws
