About

Castaways Pet Rescue hosts pet adoptions every Saturday at Savannah Pet Smart on Abercorn from 11am to 3pm. We are also at the Hinesville Pet Smart and Brunswick Pet Smart on alternating Saturdays. Come meet our adoptable pets and pick out your future furbaby! You can also come out any time or day to meet our awesome cats and kittens that are housed in the Cat Room, eagerly waiting for their new families to find them.  Or, if you see a pet on our site you're interested in, fill out our adoption application and one of our volunteers will contact you.

Who are we?

Castaways Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity dedicated to saving cats and dogs in South Georgia. We operate through a network of volunteers and foster homes in the Coastal Georgia area. Our efforts are funded by tax-deductible contributions from compassionate people and organizations who care and want to help make a difference…one pet at a time.

Volunteer

Castaways Pet Rescue offers a broad range of volunteer opportunities. Volunteers help save the lives of hundreds of animals each year by assisting in the direct care of animals, fundraising, reaching out to the community and fostering animals in their home.  We provide food, bowls, crates and medications- You just supply the love!
