Earth Day Tree Identification Fun!

Thursday, April 23, 2026 (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM) (EDT)

Description

Join a ranger on a quest to identify as many native (and pesky non-native) trees on site! Great for kids and families, as we will take tree rubbings and learn about ecosystems along the way. Cost: Standard admission. This event requires no pre-registration. Visitors should arrive in adequate outdoor gear for an hour-long leisurely walk that will equal no more than a mile altogether. Bug spray and sunscreen can be provided, but feel free to bring your own. ------- Fort King George is celebrating Earth Day with a weeklong list of fun, environmentally educational activities. From tree plantings, nature walks, to private classes. Some will require pre-registration and/or additional payment for supplies. Check event description for more details. Call 912-437-4770 for more info!
