Keep McIntosh Beautiful Annual Member & Volunteer Appreciation + Open House

KMB invites the community to its Annual Member & Volunteer Appreciation + Open House on Tuesday, September 30, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the scenic Emma’s Driftwood Farm, 1184 Bob Wagner Lane SE, Darien.

The evening is dedicated to celebrating KMB’s hardworking members and volunteers while welcoming neighbors and friends to learn more about the organization’s projects and impact.

Guests will enjoy delicious food from the newly opened Fox’s Pizza in Darien, KMB giveaways, and plenty of good company. Visitors will also have the opportunity to renew their memberships, become new members, or explore ways to get involved in KMB’s efforts to keep McIntosh County cleaner and greener.

This year’s event will feature something new and unforgettable: the Trash Clash: The 30-Minute LIVE Make-It Challenge. Five local leaders — City Manager Holden Osburn, City Councilman Jeff Ragsdale, Sheriff Thornell “TK” King, County Commission Chair Kate Karwacki, and Interim County Manager Shawn Jordan — will face off in a race against the clock to transform a pile of junk into either a masterpiece or a hilarious flop, using only hot glue guns, zip-ties, duct tape, and their imaginations.

The audience will choose the winner by voting ($1 = 1 vote), making this fun showdown both interactive and entertaining.

This event is our way of saying thank you to the amazing people who support Keep McIntosh Beautiful. t’s also a chance for the community to come together, enjoy themselves, and learn how they can be part of protecting the natural beauty of McIntosh County.
