Code Enforcement / Building Inspector

The City of Darien is currently accepting applications for a full-time Code Enforcement Officer.

Applicants should have a strong knowledge of building, zoning, and related codes. Responsibilities include inspecting properties, investigating complaints, issuing citations, and working with property owners to resolve violations.

• All applicants must be able to pass a criminal background investigation and drug screen. 
• All applicants must have a valid driver's license and high school diploma, GED, or its equivalent. 
• Law Enforcement, first responder, code enforcement or a related field experience preferred but not required.
