Pre-Delivery Inspection Specialist

Operations $18-$22 an hour dependant upon experience

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct Detailed Inspections:  Perform thorough pre-delivery inspections of machinery, focusing on mechanical components, electrical systems, and overall functionality to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Use of Inspection App:  Accurately document inspection findings, including defects and concerns, through our designated mobile inspection app.  This includes capturing photos, making notes, and completing checklists.
  • Problem Identification:  Identify any issues or discrepancies during the inspection.  Collaborate with the maintenance or repair teams to ensure these issues are addressed efficiently.
  • Quality Assurance:  Verify that all machinery complies with the required safety and quality standards prior to dispatch to customers
  • Continuous Improvement:  Provide constructive feedback on the inspection process and the app's functionality to help enhance inspection procedures.
  • Compliance with standards:  Keep abreast of the latest industry standards and company policies regarding machinery inspection and safety.
  • Customer Service:  Handle customer inquiries related to the inspection process or machinery condition as needed.
  • Maintain Inspection Tools and Manuals: Ensure all company-owned tools and manuals are properly maintained and returned in the same condition as received.
  • Safety and Compliance:  Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-To-Know, ETC.
  • Documentation and Reporting:  Record discrepancies and manage acceptance slips for each inspected vehicle, reporting any safety concerns to management immediately.
  • Safe Operation of Tools:  Use all tools and equipment in a safe manner, following established safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in machinery inspection or a similar technical role.
  • Familiarity with mobile apps for data entry and reporting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to quality.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Is a High School diploma or equivalent required? Technical or vocational training is a significant plus.
  • Physical ability to walk and stand for extended periods and to climb through, in, and out of machinery during inspections.

  • Occasional weekend or overtime work may be required to meet inventory deadlines.
