Welder $22-$28 an hour

• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams to perform tasks at hand.
• Perform MIG, TIG, and arc welding based on project needs.
• Select appropriate welding equipment and method based on requirements
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment
• Understand and implement personal and company safety measures by wearing specialized goggles,             helmets, and gloves
• Communication with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient work and deadlines are met.
• Inspect and test welds and equipment for durability and safety.
• Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Professional welding certifications are required
• Proven experience as a welder
• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MIG, etc)
• Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squared, calipers, etc..).

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Deftness and attention to detail.
• Proficient in English with good oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective closing (face-shield gloves, etc)
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work overtime if necessary.

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work in a high-heat, noisy, and physically demanding environment.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy materials for extended periods.
• A willingness to work in confined spaces and at heights when required.
